Aerial Bathtub

Created by Dimity Magnus (Clawfeet and shaping of Wooden Bath rim), Jenna Downing ( Patterning on rim) and Renee Pilkington (Concept Designer). The Bathtub also contains appropriate rigging and bracing.

In this project Dimity created the resin and brass cast Clawfeet for the Bathtub. This process involved sculpture of the claws, silicone molding and casting with brass powder and resin.

Dimity also shaped the wooden rim of the Bathtub with hand lathe technique to create the rounded edges which were then covered in resin and brass powder to give it the metallic finish.

The Aerial Bathtub is used for performance with Aerialist group Fliptease. It is suspended and Aerial models can showcase their skills from it.
